As we know the Nokia N9
is the first device from Nokia, which is not using any kind of hardware
or capacitive buttons. The smartphone uses touchscreen buttons, which
means that the user’s only required to be familiar with the swipe
technology. This MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan device uses ideal touchscreen
technology.
Another exclusive feature of the device
is that it uses MeeGo OS, which is a result of several years of hard
work. This operating system differs from iOS, Android and Windows Phone,
but obviously, there are a lot of similarities. The OS functions
perfectly with the device supporting various interesting applications
from third-parties.
Just want to remind you that Nokia
abandoned the usage of the OS and thus you will not get a chance to see
another device with this version of OS, while the updates will still be
rolled to the Nokia N9 customers.
Basically the most bothering problem of
the OS is that it doesn’t support a big list of apps from Nokia stores,
as those are not compatible with the OS. To have an overall impression
about the OS and its features, we offer to have a look at the Nokia N9
software tour video.
