The first retailer that comes to mind
when we talk about Europe’s first mobile retailers is the Carphone
Warehouse functioning in the UK and Ireland. But we should not forget
about Phone House — one of the largest phone retailers in the world. The
retailer just published the top 50 devices on its Phone House France
website, which includes the Nokia Lumia 800 and the Samsung Wave 575.
These are the results of the last week’s
sales. The Nokia Lumia 800 is taking the lead and this is in some sense
surprising, especially if we consider that the iPhone 4S just got
released and was expected to take the leading position (it appeared
fifth in the list). The top 5 of the list goes like this: the Nokia
Lumia 800, Samsung Wave 575, Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro, Samsung Galaxy S
II and iPhone 4S.
The top two devices are based on Windows
Phone OS, which, as Nokia expected, is facing high sales in Europe.
While making the list the retailer also considered the colors of the
handsets, thus we have the Nokia Lumia 800 as number 1 and number 9,
while the iPhone 4S comes as number 5, 8, 11,13, 15,37,39 and 46.
It’s noteworthy that the leader is the Black version of the Nokia Lumia 800.
