Patchouli Oil is obtained by the Steam Distillation of Dried fermented Leaves of Pogostemon Cablin Family. The plant is native to tropical regions of Asia and emits an intense, woody, sweet-spicy, balsamic odor.
It improves with age and is used as a fixative in perfume for centuries. In an attempt to meet the demand for Patchouli Oil in the world, PT. Essential Indonesia (Atsirindo) has worked with farmers and distillers patchouli partner, then process or refine crude patchouli oil (patchouli alcohol levels below 30%, dark and murky; high iron and acid number) into the patchouli oil ready to uses or patchouli light (clear yellow color; levels of PA above 32-40%; acid number and low iron).
